Transform Your Space With the Timeless Beauty of Tile

Whether you’re dreaming up a spa-worthy bathroom or giving your kitchen that eye-catching backsplash it deserves, tile has a way of completely transforming a space. There’s just something timeless and elegant about it, something that instantly boosts the beauty and value of your home. But with so many options out there, how do you choose the one that feels just right?

Let’s break it down so you can start imagining what your home could look like when Polli brings your vision to life.

Ceramic Tile

Classic, Versatile, and Budget-Friendly

Ceramic tile is made from clay and minerals fired in a kiln, and it comes in both glazed and unglazed styles. While unglazed (or quarry) tile is rustic and warm, it can stain easily. Glazed ceramic, on the other hand, brings durability, character, and practically endless color and pattern combinations.

Ceramic and porcelain often get lumped together, but they’re not twins. Ceramic is a bit lighter, absorbs more moisture, and isn’t frost-proof, so keep it indoors. But with its great price point ($1 to $15 per sq ft) and versatility, ceramic tile remains a go-to choice for homeowners who want beautiful design without the big price tag.

Strong, Stylish, and Built to Last

Porcelain is the tough, no-nonsense sibling in the tile family. Made with more refined clay and fired at higher temperatures, it’s dense, moisture-resistant, and strong enough for both indoor and outdoor use. Matte, glossy, unglazed, you name it, there’s a porcelain finish for it.

When choosing ceramic or porcelain for floors, don’t forget to check the PEI rating. Wall tiles can be anything, but floor tiles need to stand up to daily life. For light foot traffic, choose Class 2 or above. For busy areas like kitchens or entryways, stick with Class 3 or higher. Your floors will thank you.

Luxury Straight From the Earth

If you’re drawn to those rich, organic textures and colors you can’t find anywhere else, natural stone might steal your heart. It’s luxurious, durable, and each piece is perfectly imperfect; no two tiles are the same.

Granite is incredibly strong, second only to diamonds, and its polished finish lasts for decades. Great for countertops, vanities, floors, fireplaces, and more.

Slate brings earthy character, with natural variation and a beautiful matte feel. It’s ideal for floors, walkways, and even roofing, though it does need sealing.

Travertine is warm, inviting, and full of natural charm. It works beautifully in bathrooms, entryways, fireplaces, and showers. It does require some care (and isn’t ideal for messy kitchen counters), but its style is unmistakable.

Marble is the showstopper, the stone that makes any room feel instantly elevated. With dramatic veining and timeless appeal, it shines in bathrooms, floors, and fireplace surrounds.

Glass Tile

Modern Shine With Endless Color Play

Glass tile brings light, color, and sparkle in a way no other material can. Whether used as a full backsplash or as an accent, its translucence gives depth and dimension that command attention. It’s mold-resistant, waterproof, and simple to clean, but it needs a pro to install it perfectly.

Why Installation Matters: The Polli Difference

Choosing the perfect tile is only half the magic. The fundamental transformation happens in the installation. Even the most expensive tile can fall flat in the wrong hands, but an experienced installer can turn even simple materials into something jaw-dropping.

That’s where Polli comes in.
