Do I Need Pre-Construction?

Based on the scope of your project, your estimator will determine if Pre-Construction is necessary to complete your project. Once we enter into a Pre-Construction Agreement, we will then carry out the following steps:

 

PROJECT PLANNING

At the start of the pre-construction phase, we work with you to define the main details of your project—what you want to achieve, the scope of work, and potential timeline. This helps make sure everything is aligned with your goals from the beginning.

We also outline key steps and deliverables to keep the project organized and on track. By planning ahead, we help avoid delays, control costs, and set your project up for a smooth and successful build.

 

 

SITE EVALUATION

Next, we’ll conduct a site evaluation to determine if the project you have planned is viable. While there, we will go over the following things: 

  • Can we get a permit? If so, what permitting do we need?
  • Does your house have proper sewer capacity for your project?
  • Will your project affect stormwater runoff?
  • Will the building need upgraded an electrical system?
  • Does the site have any soil contamination?
  • Are there lead/asbestos issues?
  • Are there any structural issues or concerns?
  • Are there wetlands to consider?

 

DESIGN COORDINATION

Design Process

 

Based on the initial plans and property evaluation, we begin turning your vision into a buildable design. Our team coordinates with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to develop a clear, detailed plan focused on your goals.

This plan serves as a roadmap for the entire project, helping guide each phase and providing an accurate construction cost estimate. By working closely with you throughout the process, we ensure every detail supports a successful outcome.

 

 

COST ESTIMATE

After the final design is presented, your estimator will provide a preliminary estimate at no cost to you. This estimate serves as a comprehensive breakdown, giving you a clear understanding of the expenses involved in bringing your project to life.

It includes material costs, labor, and any additional factors that might influence the budget, ensuring transparency and accuracy. By offering this estimate early in the process, we aim to give you the confidence to move forward, fully informed and prepared to make decisions that align with your vision and financial goals.
