DIFFERENT TYPES OF PORCHES
An open porch allows you to fully enjoy the warmer months of the year from the comfort of your home. This style of porch will give your home a timeless look but keep in mind that without protection from the elements, your use may be limited to summer and spring.
Screening in your porch prevents pesky bugs and other unwanted outdoor elements from disturbing you while you enjoy your space. This option offers some protection from weather but will still primarily only be usable while the temperatures are warm.
A 3-Season Porch has a structure similar to a screened-in porch; however, clear vinyl or glass windows are installed along with sliding panels that allow you to seal off the room. This extends your use to at least 3 seasons out of the year, hence the name.
Also known as a sunroom or year-round room, a 4-Season Porch is built using insulated panes to keep the room cool in the summer and warm in the winter. These porches will often have an AC/Heating unit to further help temperature control to allow you to enjoy your porch all year-long.
